Being an Fine Art creator: Why, What, Why, How

From the beginning of teaching Fine Art it was a problem for my students to understand the Why, What, When and How of their practise.

Questions I've been asked:

Why do I want to create?

Why are my drawings so amateurish?

What is a Fine art painter anyhow?

Why should I learn to draw if I want to do abstract paintings?

What should I be creating, should I look for the everyday, or the epic?

So over the course of this Blog I hope to share my thoughts on some of these subjects. They are definitely not definitive and I am open to discussion and actually I relish a good argument against my thoughts, so here goes for nothing.....
